Role Overview
We are looking for a Lead Program Manager to lead large and complex technology programs, manage multiple initiatives and delivery teams, drive strategic execution, and ensure successful delivery of business and technology outcomes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain RHEL-based Linux servers across different environments.
- Perform system installation, patching, upgrades, kernel tuning, and performance optimization.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, file systems, storage, and networking configurations.
- Monitor system health and ensure high availability and uptime.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using shell scripting.
- Troubleshoot complex operating system issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Implement security best practices, including SELinux, firewalls, and vulnerability remediation.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Collaborate with application, network, and security teams to support business-critical workloads.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and operational standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux RHEL system administration in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of system configuration and hardening.
- Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience with storage management, including LVM, NFS, and iSCSI.
- Knowledge of system monitoring and log analysis.
- Proficiency with shell scripting (Bash, sh) for automation.
- Experience with package management using YUM and DNF.
- Experience with system services and systemd.
- Working knowledge of LDAP, including NSS, PAM, and SSSD.
- Working knowledge of Sendmail and SMTP.
- Database exposure.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and KVM.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Zabbix.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Red Hat certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE are highly desirable.
- Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP are a plus.
