Role: Delphi Software Developer – C#/.NET Modernization

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Delphi Software Developer with strong knowledge of Object Pascal and an interest in C# and the .NET ecosystem. The role involves maintaining and enhancing existing Delphi applications while supporting the gradual migration of legacy systems to modern C# technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong debugging skills, sound software engineering knowledge, and the ability to develop reliable, maintainable solutions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing Delphi-based applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
  • Contribute to the phased migration of Delphi code to C# across multiple releases.
  • Ensure code quality, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Identify and resolve software defects and technical issues.
  • Support legacy application modernization and code refactoring.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • More than 4 years of hands-on experience in Delphi (Object Pascal) development.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming (OOP), and design patterns.
  • Working knowledge of C# and the .NET Framework/.NET Core, or a strong interest in learning these technologies.
  • Experience maintaining, debugging, refactoring, or modernizing legacy applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Good understanding of code quality, application performance, and maintainable software design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Delphi-to-C# migration or similar application modernization projects.
  • Exposure to modern UI frameworks and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and software release processes.
  • Experience working with cross-functional development teams.
